About Us
Velorbola — a Georgian cycling website since 2015
Who We Are
Velorbola is a Georgian website made by cycling enthusiasts. Our first article was published on August 6, 2015 — about Vincenzo Nibali starting the Vuelta. Since then we have been writing about road racing, track, mountain biking and cyclocross — Grand Tours, Classics and World Championships.
Our Mission
We want the great achievements of cycling and its old-time spirit to feel close and accessible in Georgia and beyond. That is why, when we write about a race, we are not content with listing results: we try to convey the spirit of the day, read the plans of teams and riders, and never forget the history — of the race, the climb, the cobbles or the gravel road.
Since 2026, Velorbola can also be read in English.
How We Work
Since October 25, 2026
Topics, vision and material are chosen by the Velorbola editors. Artificial intelligence — Claude (Anthropic) — assists us with writing, fact-checking and translation. We verify facts against official and reliable sources. The final word and responsibility always rest with the editors.
Since September 26, 2026, Claude has also been taking part in the renewal of the website — its new design, the English version and technical support.
